Finding cable faults. Capturing lines.
Without digging.
Cable fault location from the service connection to medium voltage, and as-built capture for GIS. Located to the point, surveyed cleanly, documented in writing. Opening up and repair are done by your contractor.
11,216 cable faults found
Cable faults from the service connection to medium voltage. On a working day it is four to five; the calculation uses the lower figure.
Calculated from the order records of the group, set pessimistically.
1,857,120m cables and pipes located
Around 487 metres of cable and pipe routes are located and surveyed per working day. The figure shown is calculated from actually surveyed line lengths.
Calculated from the order records of the group, set pessimistically.
The fault rarely sits where you suspect it – and the plan rarely matches the trench.
We measure before anyone digs: the fault in the cable to the point, the installed lines into your GIS.
Cable fault location
Prelocation by time domain measurement, pinpointing with surge voltage and ground microphone – opened where the fault really lies.
Heating mats and heating cables
Underfloor heating cold, fuse tripping: we locate the fault from above and mark it on the covering – one tile instead of a whole floor.
Site clearance surveys
Before the excavator starts: driving site and route with ground-penetrating radar, marking finds – measured instead of torn.

One marked spot, one report, one dataset for GIS.
Presentable to network operator, insurer or client. We locate, measure and document – opening and repair are done by your contractor.
How a job runs, step by step
You give us a call
You describe the case – the feeder is dead, the site is being backfilled, the records are missing from GIS. We tell you what we need in access and isolation.
We measure on site
With a cable fault we narrow down the section first, then the spot. In as-built capture we survey every layer while it is visible.
You see the result
The fault is marked at the surface, the captured lines exist as a plan – you see both before anyone starts.
You get it in writing
Damage report or GIS dataset including photo documentation. Presentable and filable. Digging and repair are done by your contractor.
Find, buy, learn, maintain
The full circle is rare in this trade: we locate, sell locating technology from ten manufacturers, give instruction on it and keep it in repair. The finding is at the top of this page – the rest is here.
Describe your case.
Fastest by telephone – then we settle straight away which method fits and what you should prepare.
