ITALIFTERS at CFT: lifting technology for manhole covers

Every look into a network starts with a cover – and some covers weigh more than two backs should carry. ITALIFTERS builds magnetic lifters and lever tools that open manhole covers in a controlled way and without contortions: from the compact permanent magnet to the lever trolley for the heavy slabs. The crowbar can stay where it is.

Official dealer for Germany

The contract partner for German customers is CFT Group Deutschland GmbH in Erding: advice before the purchase, introduction after delivery, orders run through the group shop SEMPERDEAL.

The ITALIFTERS range

The XT and CL ranges cover magnetic lifters from the hand-held device to the roller lever; ATEX versions exist for potentially explosive areas. Add mechanical lever tools and cover release tools for stuck slabs, plus protection of the open shaft. What fits your covers depends on weight, design and material – a photo by e-mail speeds up the advice.

What these devices are used for

Because a cover is rarely just a lifting problem. The range covers the whole chain: the release tool for the stuck slab, magnetic lifters and lever tools for the controlled lift, protection for the open shaft – every part fits the next, nothing has to be pieced together. Which version belongs to your covers is settled before the order; where a magnet will not hold, we name the mechanical lever tool, not a stronger magnet. And what wears out can be resupplied from Erding – with a German invoice and a German-speaking contact.

Introduction and training

Every lifter comes with an introduction: positioning, releasing, lifting without momentum – the hand movements that protect backs and fingers.

Service and spare parts

Wear and spare parts as well as the handling of complaints run through the group’s workshop service with a direct line to the manufacturer.

Frequently asked questions

Does a magnetic lifter hold on every cover?

No – it needs ferromagnetic material. Cast iron and steel yes, concrete and composite covers no; there the mechanical lever tool takes over. Best send a photo of your covers, and we name the fitting device.

What does the ATEX version add?

The approval for potentially explosive areas – for instance at plants where an ignitable atmosphere can occur. Whoever lifts covers there needs tools with this rating.

A cover has been stuck for years – is the lifter enough?

Usually not alone: first the release tool frees the slab from rust and compression, then the lifter takes over. Both together replace the crowbar – and leave a frame that opens again next time.
